The key reason many Christians are not able to live in
Spiritual Victory is because they have never established
accountability relationships in their lives.
Accountability is having a friend close enough to you to
that they can exhort you; admonish you; warn you; encourage
you; even provoke you! Because all Christians are going to
have to give account for their lives at the Judgment Seat
of Christ, accountability with others here helps us to be
ready for our accountability there. Yet it is easy to
reject accountability.
Why? Because:
It requires exposing my inner self to another person.
It is a yielding of personal freedoms (which is required
to truly be free!)
It requires humility, which is the opposite of pride.
This message not only emphasizes the vital importance of
accountability but also explains how to establish such
relationships.
